David Álvarez | CEO

David is a partner at the firm and leads the practice areas of Corporate Governance, Legal Compliance, and Government Relations in Latin America. He is an attorney with broad experience in corporate law, institutional ethics, and the structuring of internal regulatory frameworks. In his role, he advises companies and organizations on the design of governance structures, the drafting of compliance protocols, and the management of legal and reputational risks. He has experience developing internal policies on transparency, conflict-of-interest prevention, codes of conduct, and strategic public-private relations. David holds a law degree and a master's in Political Science with a dual degree from the Università degli Studi di Salerno (Italy) and Universidad Católica de Colombia. He has worked as a legal consultant and governance advisor for public and private entities in Colombia, as well as for companies and organizations in other Latin American countries. Currently, he leads institutional strengthening processes from the firm’s U.S. office, supporting Latin American companies operating outside the United States in their efforts to align with international standards of compliance, integrity, and corporate responsibility.

Felipe Rodriguez | Associated

Felipe is an associate attorney at the firm, with a practice focused on competition law, corporate law, consumer protection, international trade, and customs regulation. He holds a Master’s degree in Law and Economics from the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina), a Specialization in Commercial Law from Universidad Externado de Colombia, and a Law degree from Universidad Católica de Colombia. His academic background enables him to effectively integrate legal, economic, and commercial perspectives in analyzing the regulatory challenges organizations face in dynamic environments. Felipe specializes in the legal and economic analysis of business decisions, with the aim of identifying regulatory risks, preventing legal disputes, and reducing transaction costs in commercial operations. He advises companies on the design of preventive strategies (ex ante) and the management of legal contingencies (ex post), providing precise and actionable recommendations that support decision-making aligned with applicable legal frameworks and each organization’s strategic objectives. He has advised both national and international companies in matters related to investigations of anti-competitive practices, sector-specific economic regulations, compliance programs in consumer protection, as well as customs procedures and complex sanctioning processes in the field of international trade.

Alejandro Quintana V | Associated

Alejandro is an associate of the firm, his professional practice is emphasized in the registration of trademarks at a national and international level. His experience includes filing and monitoring applications for trademark registrations, advising on registration and protection of trademarks. He, in turn, handles the appeals and actions for annulment of the administrative acts that grant or deny the registration of a trademark.

Alejandro is a lawyer from the Universidad Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario. He has a master's degree in Intellectual, Industrial Property and New Technologies from the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain). He is a specialist in Commercial Law from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He is currently a professor of International Business Law at the Universidad del Bosque, co-author of the book Intellectual Property Manual (Editorial Ibáñez, 2017, chapter 5) and author of articles for the newspaper La República.

Juan m Cortes | Associated

Juan Miguel is a lawyer with more than 8 years of experience in handling labor and union relations and immigration matters. He is a lawyer from the Universidad del Norte, specialist in labor law and industrial relations from the Externado de Colombia University and in labor law and fundamental rights from the University of Salamanca in Spain. Additionally, he has a master's degree in public policy from the Universidad Externado de Colombia.

Juan Miguel has expertise in the management of labor and union relations, as well as in immigration procedures, with a focus on managing situations and reducing risks for the good performance of commercial activities and compliance with labor protection standards and respect for the guarantees of workers in the framework of the exercise of commercial activities, has advised national and foreign companies of the financial actor, services, mining-energy and pharmaceutical.

Corrado Blandini | Outside counsel

Graduated in Law from the University of Pavia in Italy, for which he has been a lawyer in Milan since 2010. He perfected his professional skills at an important Milan associate study in which lawyers and accountants act synergistically, always taking care of civil and commercial law, while judicial and extrajudicial. He has work experience in particular in the field of Company Contract Law, Company Law and Bankruptcy Law (former consolidation plans Art. 67 LF, restructuring agreements under art. 182 bis LF and agreements with creditors).

He is a partner in the Uno Quattro Studio Legal firm, which practices consulting in private law in Milan, Italy. He currently supports the firm in the accompaniment of clients who have commercial operations in the European Union, carrying out all the negotiations and filters to determine the legal viability of the businesses in particular that the clients in Colombia determine from his law firm Uno Quattro Studio. Efraín Medina | External consultant

Mr. Efraín Medina is a Banker by profession. He specializes in the areas of financial analysis, business development, and business risk analysis. He is the founder of RRI Global Consulting Group and the Latin American Business Organization, both companies located in Boston, Massachusetts.

He is currently CEO of RRI Global Consulting Group, a firm specialized in evaluating and developing business issues for the US and Latin American markets. He holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration as well as a Master's in Finance. He has conducted business conferences for the US and Latin American markets for companies that want to invest in the US territory. He is an active Delegate of the International Retail Confederation of the Americas representing Latinos in the USA.

Natalia | Associated

Natalia is a lawyer Cum Laude from the Universidad Santo Tomás. She was a representative and keynote speaker at the Third Corporate Law Contest 2019 at the Universidad de los Andes; She received a scholarship from the Colombian Association of International Law (ACCOLDI) for the intensive course on International Law: Defense and protection of human rights and investment arbitration.

He is a specialist in Commercial Law from the Universidad del Rosario. He is currently a member of the Juvenile Arbitration Network of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá DC
